What is a Baby Goal? These are the little stepping stones that we reach while working towards our big main goal. They are the best! Easier to reach, come more often and give us a sense of pride for how far we have come, even before we make it to the finish line. Think of them as the mile markers in a long race.
I reached one of these last night. This is not a biggie for anyone else but I am excited. On Tuesdays and Thursday’s our training plan has us run/walk for 30 minutes (plus warm-up and cool down). I normally will run for 2 or 3 songs, walk a minute, run a bit, walk a bit, etc. Last night I ran the whole 30 minutes! Not a crazy fast run but a huge milestone for me.
Do you have baby goals? Beat this time and then the next time? Lose 5 lbs, then 5 more and 5 more? Say no to chocolate for a day? Then a week? Then a month? I said this next statement with big goals but it is true here just as much…
WRITE THEM DOWN!!!
And check them off. Keep track of your successes. This is your “Honey Do List” for your healthy life plan. You know how good it feels to mark items off that list?…this feels even better! Let me share mine with you so you have an idea of what I mean.
